Kids Ski Rentals in Salt Lake City

Junior packages from $25/day. If they will ski more than a week, stop stacking daily rates and look at a season lease.

Kids ski rentals in Salt Lake City at The Lifthouse start at $25 for junior skis day one, $22 day two, $19 for day three and after. Junior snowboards match that pricing. Skis, boots, and poles — or board, boots, and bindings — fitted before you leave. If you live here and they ski most weekends, skip the daily stack and call about a kids season ski rental.

A family-of-four, roughly

Two adults on sport packages ($35 each day one) and two juniors ($25 each) is $120 for the first day of gear, before helmets, before lunch, before parking. Day three-plus drops that. A week of daily junior rates is why locals lease. We will not invent this year's junior season price in a blog post — Instagram had $129 once and websites that freeze that number lie to you by January. Call (801) 943-1104.

Utah Ski & Golf, Ski ’N See, and evo also do kids well, and evo's season lease is a serious program. If you are staying downtown without a car, use them. If you are driving up the Cottonwoods in the morning, pick up here the night before so you are not fitting four people in a resort shop at 8:15am.

Size swaps beat buying twice

Kids grow through a winter. A season lease includes bringing the boots and skis back when they do. Buying “so they have their own” is how you own a boot that does not fit by President's Day. More on that argument: season lease vs buying. Length starting point: ski sizing chart. We still put them on snow-length that matches ability, not the longest ski on the wall.

First time on snow? Brighton is usually kinder than Snowbird. First-time skiing in Utah and Brighton vs Solitude. We do not sell lessons or lift tickets. Book those at the resort. We do not deliver. Pickup at 3700 Fort Union Blvd.

What to bring

Ski socks — not hiking socks. Photo ID and the card on the reservation for the adults. Approximate heights and weights for the kids if they are not with you at pickup (they should be; boots have to go on). Helmets: rent them if they do not own one. Reserve 24–48 hours ahead on holiday weeks. Junior sizes in the popular lengths go first in December, which is another reason to lease in October.

Pick up at the canyon junction

3700 Fort Union Blvd, Cottonwood Heights — last stop before Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, and Solitude. Open daily. Reserve online or call (801) 943-1104.
